Greetings once again, warriors!
It has been quite a while since I have posted anything, and it is about time I gave you an update.
I have been doing a lot of struggling with my identity, my purpose, since finding healing in the spring of this year. I left the Neurological Relief Center a couple of months ago. I appreciate the knowledge and training I gained during my time there and now have this time to really consider the question of my purpose in the plan God has in store for my life.
I once believed that very purpose was to be a neurological re-education therapist(ARPwave). I have learned that is not the case. Honestly, I do not have the heart to put someone through pain in order to get them out of pain. That takes a true calling and fortitude that I, after fighting alongside my fellow CRPS warriors for five years, do not possess.
However, I came to a realization during my time at the clinic, which was this:
No matter how much effort you put into healing the physical, trying to combat chronic pain, if you do not first work to unload the mental and emotional baggage, what you do with the physical is pointless. They must work in tandem.
Our mind is like the king of the bodily realm; the heart, its queen. In order to get things done in the kingdom, you must first go through the king and queen. Without their lead and cooperation nothing will be accomplished. What the two decree becomes law throughout the land.
What happens upstream trickles downstream.
With this new direction, I am looking to pursue a career in counseling, acquiring the degrees necessary to achieve the goal of helping people heal mentally and emotionally. That being the case, there will be some new things I plan on bringing to the blog this coming year. My heartfelt desire is that these new additions bring light and encouragement to you as you continue your battle with chronic illness.
My message to you, warrior, is still this:
No matter what darkness you find yourself in at present, there is always light to pierce that darkness. There is ALWAYS hope.
Keep up the fight!
